REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS

Ready to be part of one of Canada’s largest powwows? The Calgary Stampede Powwow Team is excited to welcome dancers from across North America to compete in one of Canada’s largest powwows in the Saddledome on July 7 & 8, 2024.

To be eligible to compete, you need to fill out the registration linked below. There is no registration fee.

Registered competitors will receive one pass for free admission valid for all 10 days of the Calgary Stampede. When you complete your registration, you will see a confirmation screen and receive a confirmation email. Additional details will be sent out in mid-June to all registered competitors. There is no registration fee.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Officially registered applicants will receive one pass for free admission to the 10 days of the Calgary Stampede. We are excited to welcome you to the Calgary Stampede and hope that you’ll take in the world-famous Rodeo, Evening Show featuring the Cowboys Rangeland Derby Chuckwagon races and Relay Races, Elbow River Camp presented by Enbridge, enjoy the food and rides of the Midway and so much more.

Travelling internationally? We welcome international competitors to the Stampede Powwow and we urge you to be familiar with travel requirements and guidelines.

Staying in Calgary? The Carriage House Hotel and Conference Centre has a block of rooms available until May 10 for Powwow participants. Call 1.800.661.9566 and use PW2024 to receive the special rate.

The 2024 Calgary Stampede Powwow will feature teens (13 – 17), junior adults (18-34), senior adults (35 – 54), and golden age categories in the following categories:

• Men’s Fancy

• Women’s Fancy

• Men’s Traditional

• Women’s Traditional

• Men’s Grass

• Men’s Chicken

• Women’s Jingle

• Men’s Buckskin

The Calgary Stampede Powwow has invited drum groups for 2024.

The Calgary Stampede Powwow does not have vendors.

There will be concessions available for food and soft drinks in the Saddledome. We hope you will enjoy the amazing Midway Food selection and the variety of First Nations artists located in Elbow River Camp and all the vendors in the BMO Market.
